An open letter to Hollywood

Photobucket

Dear Hollywood,

The readers of Halloween Overkill have decided that it is time for you to kill the 3D madness that you have decided is an absolute must for every single horror movie that you choose to make and "remake."  Thanks for your time.

Sincerely,
The readers at HalloweenOverkill.com

Another overwhelming response to the "do you like the 3D horror trend" poll of the week.  Thanks again to all who voted and those who didn't and just checked the blog out.

Totally with ya, buddy! This is just a cheap way to dress up a whore and make her look like she has substance. They're still doing remakes and we all won't go to the theater to see a horrible remake of a perfectly fine film especially when it's out on video within a few months. So they slap it into 3D, make you pay almost $20 because you think that's the only way to see it since we have big screens and surround sound at home and have no need for people on cell phones and the stinky smell of hot dogs and popcorn around us...

I don't think hollywood has to kill 3D, I think the audience will do it for them. People were already fed up with high ticket prices and lousy theater experience. Charging more for a ticket with the same lousy theater experience will not help. 3D is a fad like it was in the 80's and film goers will grow tired of it. If hollywood wants to make more money the answer is simple, make better movies that people actually want to see on the big screen.
