Jack-o-lanterns in cinema

I'd like to thank Melissa over at Little Miss Zombie and Jeremy over at iZombie-Lover for tagging me in the new horror picture blog meme.  My task was to find pictures that all share a common theme.  The theme I chose, Jack-o-lanterns.  Some of these pictures feature very subtle Jack-o-lanterns, some very "in your face", some hard to find, and some not so hard.  Some are plastic and some are real but in every pic below you will find a jack-o-lantern.

As I was capturing these and posting them I thought to myself "These are not going to be fun to tag" so instead of tagging and labeling them all I challenge you ghouls to figure out what pictures are from what movies. Now not every pic featured here is from an actual motion picture, some are from Halloween novelty videos, others from cartoons, and even one from a documentary.  There are also a few from t.v. shows.  Even though they aren't all from actual movies I feel the "hardcore" halloween fans will be able to guess at least 20 of the 25 photos featured here. Up to the challenge? List your answers in the comments below. And no, there are no prizes for this, I just thought it would be a fun time. Hell you can even team up for this one and just list one at a time and the next person in line can name the next picture, that would be acceptable also!

Well I can point out my favorite of the bunch....Mr. Carapace Clavicle Mounshroud! Holding just one of MANY Jack O'Lanterns from the Halloween Tree! :o)

Great Post with lots of good imagery! I just love me some Jack O'Lanterns!

I ALMOST picked this theme for my own meme!! Luckily I went with something else!

I hope you post a list of the films each image is from...I know some of them but definitely not all!

Great images BTW!

Hmmm...

10. Trick r Treat

16. Sleepy Hollow?

23. Halloween 3: Season of the Witch?

25. Nightmare Before Christmas

It's killing me because a lot of them look so damn familiar.

I will be posting the answers but I figured I'd give it a few days to see what people come up with. So far everything seems to be spot on except to be technical the Halloween blues said #10 was trick r' treat, that is not totally correct however......(check another pic) Also I cannot believe nobody has guess the 2 most obvious ones, WOW! And like I said some of them are really tough because they aren't traditional movies per say but actually shows or documentaries.

Here are my guesses:

4. Satan's Little Helper
5. The Halloween Tree
11. Trick 'r Treat
13. Creepshow
16. Sleepy Hollow
19. The Pumpkin Karver
22. Hocus Pocus
23. Halloween III
24. Rob Zombie's Halloween
25. Nightmare Before Christmas

Can't wait 'til you reveal the answers!!

WOW! Spooky Vegan you got a lot of em'. I'm surprised that you knew some of the low budget ones like The Pumpkin Karver and Satan's Little Helper (one of my favorite low budgets of all time! Review on the way) But again I'm surprised that nobody has guessed the single most obvious one of them all, I thought it would be a total gimme, but guess not haha. How would you ghouls feel about this becoming a weekly thing? Some themed pics where you guess the movies? Maybe even have some prizes eventually? Now will somebody please guess the obvious one haha.

Sam Hain said...

Hahah, okay, number ten is actually Seasons Greetings. The short film that inspired Trick R Treat.

A weekly game would be pretty cool, though I don't know if you'd be hard pressed to find so many pictures every week lol.

7. ...is that the Home Improvement Halloween episode?

Halloweenman666 said...

haha sorry blues didn't mean to be specific but had to make you try right haha. Yeah if we do this as a weekly thing there will not be as many pics for sure maybe 5 or so but that should do, maybe we can even keep score for a horror picture fantasy league or something? And concerning your last answer, I can't tell you yet, I will post the answers soon though.
